The Giving Back Fund (www.givingback.org) is a national nonprofit organization established in 1997 to provide professional philanthropic management,consulting, and mentoring to athletes, entertainers and others.

Philanthropists with whom we have worked include Ben Roethlisberger, Yao Ming, Sam Madison, Carlos Boozer, Antwaan Randle El, Shane Battier, La’Roi Glover, Elton Brand, Darren Sharper, Jamie Sharper, Maurice Jones Drew, Antoine Bethea, Leonard Weaver, Jalen Rose, Gerald Wallace, and Takeo Spikes.

This morning I received an email from Trip Advisor’s CEO, Steve Kaufer. They are donating $1 million dollars to 5 organizations. Very cool.

Dear TripAdvisor Member,

For years it’s been our mission to help travelers around the world plan and take great trips.

Now we want to help the places and people that we encounter when we travel. On November 12th, we’ll be donating $1 million to 5 great organizations that help these places and people.

Just as we believe in the power of the collective wisdom of our travelers, we believe in the power of your opinion.
