Resort linked to AIG excesses offers free meeting space to charities~ 
The St. Regis Monarch Beach in Orange County, Calif., which became a symbol of corporate excess when AIG held a lavish gathering there just after receiving a taxpayer bailout, has come up with an altruistic marketing campaign that should help improve its image. Ask most pre-21 year olds who Tony Hawk is and the answer will probably be “one of the hottest skateboarders in the world”. Known for his flamboyant style and skills to match, Tony Hawk’s name is well-known from skate-parks to urban sidewalks to suburban cul-de-sacs. What is not as well known is the Tony Hawk Foundation, a organization bringing skate parks to inner-city neighborhoods. VacationHomesforCharity.org (VH4C) was a proud participant at the 7th Annual Stand Up for Skate Parks fundraiser held in Beverly Hills on November 7th.
